Wande Coal- Spring Break-Health Care

Its been a while since I last posted. Like a little over 2 weeks. I feel sort of strange, kinda like a student who has been absent from school for a while and has to catch up with the work they've missed. I've really missed blogsville sha.

anyway the wande coal concert was real good. I wasnt in any of the pics on linda ikeji's blog but I was in some pics on other websites, I think.

The venue: the place where they held the concert was in a warehouse looking place, just broke down and crazy looking ( to me at least) they call this "club" cpac ( lmao). The tickets were $40, and if ur a real big spender it was $60 PLUS $650 or $1,200 or $1,500 ( guess which one I paid for lol, im a college student o!) for these so called VIP tables with moet and nuevo. There were no seats for everyone who paided the regular fee, as in you were either standing around, taking pictures, in the restroom or doing a two-step. The place was PACKED.

The performances: They were just o.k. lots of jumping around  talkin about "swagga swagga" y'know the whole spiel. There was a girl who sang, and she was really good, but everybody else was just ok . One girl even yelled out " abeg commot for stage, I didn't pay to come an see nonentities, commot for stage! idjiots!" she was MAD LOUD, but she spoke for the masses, forreal.

The Guys: were typical dudes...grind on anything with a skirt/dress and or heels.I dont why, but almost every guy was dressed like one of those 'cool' geeks, I guess thats what you would call it. Some kinda Kanye west/kid cudi thing going on...so annoying and also complete with mohawks and bowties.

The Girls: hmmmm....this wan is tough oh. Ok so let me put it like this: overexposure, overexposure, overexposure. To the max. Lots of shakara as well. Some girls really looked classy though complete with nice makeup and hair. Then there were girls at the opposite end of the spectrum. Bad weaves, makeup, everything.

At one point the Dj/host asked if everyone was having a good time, with which no one responded, lmao.

But when Wande Coal came out  the place when WILD. One thing for sure is wande got BIG/fat.Like wow, talk about too much good food, can't blame the guy. E don grow, e no only grow omo e don blow, e no only blow omo e get dough. Theres too mush money in his agbada lol. Dbanj then came out ( his fashion sense, na wa o! i think almost everyone on stage at this point in time needed a stylist) and this dude started doing like some kind of kung fu, karate thing, his leg up and his hands doing some sort of twisting motion, my sister and my cousin looked at each other and nearly fell over with laughter. I felt bad for Wande, because once Dbanj came out, all the attention shifted to him, and Wande is the one with the real talent. When they played 'you bad' theres a part in the song where he says 'see dis lepa lepa too bad oh', they pointed at dbanj, and when the part that says ' orobo too bad oh' Dbanj points at Wande and Wande points to another fat guy on the stage. LMAO. Good times sha.

After the concert, you know naija ppl now, cops were outside to make sure everyone left, but Nigerians? hmmm everyone was playing one song or another in their cars while passing out invites to the timaya/bracket concert in April....it was raining and cold and the taxi ppl werent picking up...I guess my sister caught one guys eye because he said " i like the lady in the blue, do you need a ride?" this dude was drunk as all hell,  just talking nonsense. We  were freezing so we accepted. It took like 20mins or more just to get in the car because these guys had girl friends who they were suppose to give rides to. They kicked the girls out because of theirbad attitudes and we got in. Dude goes " you girls are very attractive, then goes on to say " the one in the middle ( my cousin) is beautiful, the one on the left and right (me and my friend) are jast gals"....lmho, thats all I could do o!! that was insult number 1. insult number 2 was directed at my friend " see dis imo girl, u don see as e dey bleach?" ( idk how he could tell she was from imo state) hmmm that whole car turned into a mild version of WW II. My sister was riding in another car  with the cutest guy in the bunch ( who she later found out was from Edo state, i trust that girl,..she eventually got his number) the drunk guy eventually forgot about 'the lady in blue' and proceeded to get my cousins' number)

We got in at like 5:30 maybe 6, I quickly got ready and boarded a flight to Florida.( made me feel like a celebrity LOL) Spring break wasnt all that exciting ( the weather was quite cold)but I got to seem some friends and I even met Gloria Estefan @ the mcdonalds in Walmart!

The healthcare bill just passed. It could change things, but lets see how it goes
. Healthcare in America still sucks either way. But Obama did something that not many though he could do, so kudos to him.

That week, I had the most fun Ive ever had in months...maybe years. Up next: Timaya/Brackett....

Now that I'm turning 20 heres my list of 20 things I will start doing once I hit the big 2-0

1. Cleanse. I bought a book called the '3-day cleanse' it taught me a lot about how bad the American diet is ( mostly meat/dairy) and how the water bottles used in bottled waters have traces of harmful elements in it ( from the plastic) cleansing really helps with clearing the skin and helping people sleep better and getting rid of most ailments.

2. Pray more, I was brought up a christian and I'm losing touch with my faith

3. Get angry less

4. Go out more, not neccesarily to parties but just out more to different places that I've never been to

5. Travel more. This summer I've got lots of trips planned, hopefully I reach each destination

6. Study more. Nuff said

7.excersize
8.eat less junk
9.Scream less
10. Act a bit more mature
11.Do my own thing more often
12. go on a road trip
13.plan a family reunion...hahaha am i mad?
14.dont open up any more 'accounts'
15.accept things about my self I cant change: physical features
16.inspire and encourage others
17.look for an internship
18.explore a new city
19.keep my self 'up'
20.enjoy the rest of my 20's then make another list when im 30.

Have a wonderful week!

  7. Sounds like mad fun. Even the talentless/unknown acts were part of the whole night's experience. Riding in cars with random drunken guys doesn't sound too good though. Lol. Anyway, I wish those people could bring a concert to Detroit. Una dey enjoy for that New York oh! Lol.
