Help please!

I need help making a decision.
I got into American University & University of Miami.
I still havent chosen.
American is #84 and UM is #50, I dont really know if those numbers really mean much.
The deadline has already passed to pay the deposit.
I went to DC, and I loved it, it has a college town feel.
I was in Miami in 08 because I was in school there, and I liked it as well, especially the warm weather year round.

I don't know which to pick.
suggestions would be most helpful especially if anyone knows anything about these two schools!!

  1. I'm assuming this is for undergrad? FLorida is too hot in the summer. I like the winter weather though. Although it is prone to hurricanes and stuff. I don't know how much ranks matter in the grand scheme of things in undergrad. What are you planning to major in? Besides the location, what do u like about each school? Are u getting any kind of scholarship in each school? What is the cost of living in those cities? Where do u feel more at home? What about crime rates?

Those are the kind of questions you have to ask yourself. If u like, u can email me at nigerianscorpio@gmail.com and we can figure this out together. If not, do your research on each school, pros and cons. Close to home, far from home? I wanted to be as far away from home as possible after undergrad..... u know, there are a lot of things to consider.

Good luck in making the best decision. I hope u r happy with ur final choice.

  3. Damsel, don't just think about the weather. What do you want to do with your degree afterwards? More times than none you get a job in the area where you attend school if the place is not a typical college town. Does Miami have a concentration of companies in the industry you will be in when you graduate or is it D.C?
The main aim of going to school is to get a good job when you are done.
