After watching parts 1/2 of BBC's 'Welcome to Lagos' documentary, (yea I know im late- other countries can't watch the program) Eric Obuh aka 'Vocal Slender'( as did Joseph) really caught my attention. His ambition and determination really inspired me. Although he wasn't born with a silver spoon , hes still laughing and smiling and he truly shows us what a little determination and persistance can do. In the midst of his struggle, he carries on, and in the western world, some people who make 6 figures and more, people who seemingly have it all , go home and put a .22 to their heads.
His single 'Owo Yapa' is now available on itunes.

I'm glad his dream has finally come true. Hope his story inspires many more people to truly chase after their dreams.
One beacon of inspiration has left us ( RIP Dagrin), and another is beginning his journey.
Lol too late! :p
ReplyDeleteBut yep. He's my favourite Lagosian thus far. And I like that you see the point of the show. Other people were just "vexing"! ¬__¬
