The year is nearly over in a few hours so let me do a quick round up:
January- I transfered back home from the school I went to ( out of state). I was depressed and needed family around me...I started classes at a school 45mins away as opposed to 1274.4 miles away from home..haha
Febuary- I was still in school....not really doing that great....I was losing my hair too and my self worth was already heading down the drain...I met Olu too...
March- I eventually withdrew from school. Stayed home most days...feeling and looking depressed...
April- Started getting out of my depression little by little...and I discovered a herbal gel treatment from an Israeli biologist..
May-started summer school...started my 2nd job..and I was making pretty good money( well for a college student) like $11.30
June- My birthday...my last yr as a teenager!!
August-We had to sell the house and move out in 3 days...we were basically kicked out...my father wanted money from it...he never got any. Things only got worse from there...car trouble/bills/court cases

December-....Beauty trend/rituals (s) I loved this decade: red and bright pink lips/ the cat eye/smokey eye/the bronzed look/home made facial masks
Beauty trends/rituals I hated: neon pink/yellow/green nails / glitter eyeshadow/botox/synthetic extensions
trends I loved:
80's rvival ( only the strong shoulders )
leggings/tights ( but not as pants)
skinny jeans
pencil skirts
shell blouses
tie blouses
cheetah print
pastel colors
motorcycle jacket ( kinda getting played out)
over the knee boots
shift dresses
one shoulder dresses
the ones I hated:
low rise jeans
harem pants
'jeggings'
bell bottoms ( early 00's)
jerseys (early 00's)
jumpsuits ( early 00's)

ripped/distressed jeans
ugly bright colored clothing like the ones they sell at wetseal ( trying to revive the 80's lmao)
In this decade and more specifically in 09 :
we learned to accept all different shapes,colors and sizes of women
Domestic violence/infidelity was openly talked about
a plethora of anti aging products were and still are on the market
lace front wigs took over...especially on the tyra show/naija movies
twitter/facebook/myspace was the prefered mode of comunication...they also helped spread nasty rumors and ruin relationships
Jon and kate/the duggers/octo mom became overnight celebs
Susan Boyle became a star
Miracle on the Hudson river occured
''balloon boy" made headlines
The stimulus helped revive the economy some what
the rate of unemployment was sky high
houses were getting foreclosed/abandoned - real estate suffered...
Michael Jackson/Farrah Fawcett/Britney Murphy/DJ AM died
Nollywood made its mark
Britney Spears/Whitney Houston made comebacks
Beyonce's " ring on it" video was a internet sensation
Miley Cyrus was a teen idol
I went to college
got diagnosed with alopecia

last thing I ate for breakfast this decade: bagel/ ojay

Usually on new yrs BET top 100 notarized videos is on then we head out to a house party( like this yr)...this yr is a little different though everyone is everywhere..my cuzzo ditched us like he always does i know ur reading wherever u r ( hope u know say dat one na for u ;-) my brother is in another state..my mom is at work..my sister...hmmm that one is going out..i trust that one ...im just gonna relax i been babysitting all day anyway plus it snowed.n its cold...hmmm do ppl party today till new years then party again at night on new yrs??
